New stake presidencies

Elder Harold G. Hillam of the Seventy has created the Bage Brazil Stake, which includes the Bage, Castelo, Dom Pedrito, Getulio Vargas, Laranjeiras and Tiaraju wards.

Elder Hillam also created the Teresina Brazil Stake, which includes the Cidade Satelite, Parnaiba, Planalto, Poti, and Teresina wards, and the Altos Branch.Elder Lynn A. Mickelsen of the Seventy has created the Cordoba Argentina Sierras Stake, which includes the Cordoba Ayacucho, Cordoba Chacabuco, Patricios, Rio Ceballos and Villa Belgrano wards and the Jesus Maria, La Calera, La Falda, Los Boulevares, Unquillo, and Villa Allende branches.

Elder Mickelsen also created the Santiago Chile Cerro Navia Stake, which includes the Araucania, Carrascal, El Montijo, Mapocho, and Todos Los Santos wards.

Stakes were reorganized in Argentina and Chile, and in Utah.

BAGE BRAZIL STAKE: (Oct. 31, 1993) Created from the the Livramento Brazil Stake. President - Cecer Ronaldo L. Dutra, 30, photocopy business owner, former bishop, district president and counselor and branch president, married Elizabeth D'Avila Dale. Counselors - Juares Peres Goncalves, 35, administrator, former bishop, branch president, and Young Men president, married Rosaina Laco Nunes; Marcos Antonio C. Nunes, 28, airport services aide, former bishop's counselor and Young Men president, married Fabiana dos Santos.

CORDOBA ARGENTINA SIERRAS STAKE: (Nov. 7, 1993) Created from the Cordoba Argentina and Cordoba Argentina North stakes, and the Sierras Argentina District. President - Roberto Jose Echegaray, 54, business owner, former mission president's counselor, high councilor, bishop and counselor, and elders quorum president, married Elsa Magda Cena Velez. Counselors - J. Adrian Chehda, 43, laboratory owner, former mission president's counselor, high councilor, bishop, district president, and elders quorum president, married Silvia Isabel Esclante; Angel Ramon Romero M., 52, Church custodian, former high councilor, bishop and counselor, and ward Sunday School president, married Mirta Nora Tablada.

SANTIAGO CHILE CERRO NAVIA STAKE: (Nov. 7, 1993) Created from the Santiago Chile Quinta Normal and Santiago Chile Pudahuel stakes. President - Juan David Huaiguinir Castro, 35, independent contractor, former stake president's counselor, high councilor, and bishop, married Isabel de las Mercedes Gutierrez Moraga. Counselors - Luis Alberto Cordova Astudillo, 28, administrator of chemical company, former stake president's counselor, high councilor, and stake mission president, married Beatriz Acevedo Zuniga; Luis Arturo Inostroza Gomez, 32, former stake Young Men president, branch president's counselor, and elders quroum president, married Violeta Marlene Pena Rojas.

TERESINA BRAZIL STAKE: (Dec. 5, 1993) Created from the Teresina Brazil District. President - Alexandre Jorge Gomes Cruz, 43, engineer, former branch president and counselor, married Maria Gorete Batista Leite. Counselors - Lourival Da Costa Araujo De Melo, 34, carpenter, former district president's counselor, branch president's counselor, and elders quorum president, married Gilda Vieira da Costa; Carlos Roberto Da Silva Santos, 24, salesman, former high councilor, stake mission president, bishop's counselor, branch mission leader, and elders quorum president, married Antonia Adrima dos Santos.

DUCHESNE UTAH STAKE: (Nov. 28, 1993) President - Lamont W. Moon, 52, rancher and farmer, succeeding C. LeLand Wright; former misson president, high councilor, bishop and counselor, ward financial clerk, and high priests group leader, married Gay Gillette. Counselors - Jerry D. Allred, 45, owner of surveying and mapping company, former stake clerk, bishop, ward executive secretary, elders quorum president and counselor and Young Men president, married Shannon Porter; Dale W. Thomas, 39, soil conservationist, former high councilor, stake clerk, stake Young Men president's counselor, ward clerk, ward Young Men president, and Scoutmaster, married Yvette Kendall.

RESISTENCIA ARGENTINA STAKE: (Nov. 28, 1993) President - Carlos R. Fernandez, 49, Church Educational System coordinator, succeeding Gerardo Domingo Marcos De Marchi; former mission president, regional representative, and stake president's counselor, married Beatriz Amelia Ogallar. Counselors - M. Ricardo Cardozo, 41, Church property supervisor, former high councilor, mission president's counselor, district president, and bishop, married Maria Ines Loverde; Daniel Enrique Isendorf, 38, maintenance and services company owner, former high councilor, stake Young Men president, bishop, and elders quorum president, married Maria Eva Nelida Diaz.

SANTIAGO CHILE PUDAHUEL STAKE: (Nov. 7, 1993) President - Raul Alfredo Dote Barrera, retained. Counselors - Alberto Rodriguez, 40, Church security supervisor, former stake president's counselor, high councilor, bishop, ward clerk, and elders quorum president, married Narid Isabel Loyoia Chavez; Celso E. Nunez C., 54, teacher, former high councilor, stake clerk, bishop, and branch president, married Clotilde Araya Araya.
