The coat given to Joseph by his father, Jacob, is referred to in the King James Version of the Bible as "a coat of many colours." However, what may be the more accurate translation of the original Hebrew term describing the coat?

The LDS published King James Version of the Bible notes that "the Septuagint [Greek translation of the Old Testament] word indicates many colours, but the Hebrew term may indicate simply a long coat with sleeves."
