In 1936, in the midst of the Depression, Lois Rowe's bishop called her to serve as organist in the Spanish Fork 1st Ward, now in the Spanish Fork Utah South Stake. She served in that capacity for 60 years. During the last two-and-a-half years that Sister Rowe, now 88, was organist, a sister in her ward brought her to Church early so she could provide the prelude music. Now that Sister Rowe has been released, they continue to arrive early in order to greet the other ward members as they arrive. Sister Rowe said, "The Lord has been so good to me, and people have been good, too."
