"One of God's Best Mornings," a musical piece sung by the Tabernacle Choir during "Music and the Spoken Word" seemed to best describe Easter Sunday morning's session of conference. Bright sunlight, blossoming flowers and people looking their best expressed the vibrancy of life on a day heralding the Savior's victory over death.

President Gordon B. Hinckley, who conducted the session, said "It is a magnificent morning here in the valley of the mountains." His enthusiasm was echoed in resounding tones by the Tabernacle Choir, conducted by Jerold Ottley and Craig Jessop. The choir sang "Christ the Lord is Risen Today," "Thy Holy Word," "He Died the Great Redeemer Died," "That Easter Morn," "Each Life That Touches Ours for Good," and "When Faith Endures."

Prayers were offered by Elder Robert K. Dellenbach and Elder Cecil O. Samuelson Jr. of the Seventy.
