Marguerite Griggs
Married 70 years ago on April 7, 1926, in Troy, Kan. They shortly moved to a farm west of Savannah, Mo., where he built the home they still occupy. He worked for 491/2 years for Railway Express Agency and she worked for 20 years for Southwestern Bell. She was baptized in 1923 in St. Joseph, Mo., and he was baptized in 1962. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. She served in Primary and the Relief Society for many years, and saw the local Church membership grow from a few in a lodge hall to two wards. Members of the St. Joseph 1st Ward, Liberty Missouri Stake. Parents of two sons, they have nine grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
