Members of the Church and friends are invited to participate in the annual First Presidency Christmas Devotional Dec. 7 originating in the Tabernacle on Temple Square.
The 6 p.m. (MST) Sunday program will be telecast via the Church satellite network to some 3,000 meetinghouses in the United States, Canada and the Caribbean. It will also be telecast the same evening at 8 p.m. over the Church satellite network and over KBYU-TV (Provo, Utah). Entrance to the Tabernacle will be by invitation only.The devotional has been scheduled early in the Christmas season so it can be videotaped for later use if that better suits local needs. Local leaders may use all or portions of the devotional with local Christmas programs.
The devotional is for all family members and will include Christmas messages from the First Presidency and music by the Tabernacle Choir. The telecast will be closed-captioned.
