Church News: Death

Stanley Davis Rees, 85, president of the North German Mission from 1967-1970, died Dec. 1 in Salt Lake City. Brother Rees also served as a counselor in the Salt Lake Missionary Training Center presidency from from 1972-1975 and as president of the Swiss Temple from 1981-1984. In 1946, he founded Recording Arts Inc. with Gordon B. Hinckley, before President Hinckley was called as a General Authority, and other partners. The business was sold in 1976.

Brother Rees was also a broadcast engineer for Mormon Tabernacle Choir radio broadcasts.
