Modern-day scripture topic of symposium

More than 900 Church members attended the Doctrine and Covenants symposium, held at the institute adjacent to the University of Utah and sponsored by the Church Educational System Jan. 25. During the daylong event, members listened to three speakers present six topics about the Doctrine and Covenants - the text for this year's Gospel Doctrine course. Two of the topics are summarized in this week's paper. Additional coverage of the symposium will be printed in a subsequent issue.
