Some 15 years after it was announced, work on the Guayaquil Ecuador Temple has begun. Although work on the footings and foundation started just recently, the architect's rendering on the cover suggests the final form of the temple will be an imposing symbol of the Church's presence in the country.
According to Church leaders in Ecuador, the construction has created excitement among members, who have set an ambitious goal to have 1 million people attend the open house.
