New stake presidencies

Four new stakes, including three in Latin America, have been created. New stakes have been created in Australia, Bolivia, Mexico and Peru.

In the creation in the Perth Australia Rockingham Stake, Adrian S. Palm was called as president of the stake on the same day that his father, H. Stephen Palm, succeeded him as president of the Perth Australia Southern River Stake, one of the stakes that was divided to form the new stake.The Cajamarca Peru Stake, which includes the Aeropuerto, Atahualpa, Cajamarca, Chontapaccha, El Imperio and El Ingenio wards, and the El Jardin, Independencia, La Recoleta and Pueblo Libre branches, has been created by Elder Carl B. Pratt, area authority.

The Mexico City Mexico Tecamac Stake, which includes the Hacienda, Jardines, Ojo De Agua, Teotihuacan, Venta De Carpio and Zumpango wards, and the Tecamac branch, has been created by Elder D. Todd Christofferson of the Seventy.

The Oruro Bolivia Agua De Castilla Stake, which includes the Agua De Castilla, America, Estacion, Litoral, Magisterio and Moroni wards, and the Chiripujio branch, has been created by Elder Jay E. Jensen of the Seventy.

The Perth Australia Rockingham Stake, which includes the Bunbury, Canning, Mandurah, Melville and Rockingham wards, and the Bussellton and Kwinana branches, has been created by Elder Lowell D. Wood of the Seventy.

Elsewhere, stakes have been reorganized in Australia, Chile and Mexico, and in Colorado.

CAJAMARCA PERU STAKE: (Oct. 13, 1996) Created from the Cajamarca Peru and Cajamarca Peru Recoleta districts. President - German Maximo Centurion S., 38, employed in the -Department of Agriculture; wife, Rosa Hilda Linares E. de Centurion. Counselors - Percy Ulises Silva V., 30, self-employed; wife, Nanly Jackeline Goffing M. de Silva. Luis Revilla V., 32, self-employed produce merchant; wife, Maria Anita Bazan H. de Revilla.

MEXICO CITY MEXICO TECAMAC STAKE: (Dec. 1, 1996) Created from the Mexico City Mexico Ecatepec Stake. President - Francisco Carlos Salazar S., 54, retired federal employee; wife, Maria Luisa Hernandez N. de Salazar. Counselors - Sergio Valdez S., 36, manager of quality department; wife, Rosario Adelaida Reyes L. de Valdez. Alberto Conde B., 33, chief of evaluations and systems examinations for government; wife, Diana Lizbeth Aceues P. de Conde.

ORURO BOLIVIA AGUA DE CASTILLA STAKE: (Nov. 24, 1996) Created from the Oruro Bolivia Stake. President - Johnny Chambi J., 41, producer of foods and marketing; wife, Beatriz Antonia Mendizabal C. de Chambi. Counselors - Humberto Chavez R., 43, personnel manager for Cobbel; wife, Fructuosa Balderama R. de Chavez. Mirko Lobaton E., 28, administrator for commercial trading business; wife, Maria Aleyda Rodriguez F. de Logaton.

PERTH AUSTRALIA ROCKINGHAM STAKE: (Dec. 15, 1996) Created from the Perth Australia Dianella, Perth Australia Southern River and Perth Australia Warwick stakes. President - Adrian S. Palm, 36, self-employed company director; wife, Jacqualine Nichola Ilton Maile Palm. Counselors - Raymond B. Jose, 50, self-employed company director; wife, Dawn Lynette Morrison Jose. Andrew D. Reedy, 33, sales representative for Forpark Australia; wife, Carrie Renay Russell Reedy.
