Andrew Eyring Kimball, 70, has been called to preside over the California Oakland Temple Visitors Center. He will be accompanied by his wife, Sister M. Phyllis Jones Kimball. Elder Kimball was born in Safford, Ariz., to Spencer W. and Camilla Eyring Kimball. He married M. Phyllis Jones, and they have six children. Elder Kimball is a Sunday School president and Scout Committee chairman. He has previously served as a Sunday School teacher, counselor in a bishopric, counselor in an elders' quorum presidency, regional athletic director, Scoutmaster, and missionary in the New England States Mission. He worked as an officer of the General Electric Company and also as a consultant to American Express Bank. Sister Kimball was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., to Thatcher C. and Glenette Clark Jones. She is a counselor in her ward's Relief Society presidency. She previously served as a ward and stake Relief Society president, ward and stake Young Women president, Junior Sunday School coordinator, and teacher in the auxiliaries. They are members of the Union 2nd Ward, Sandy Utah Cottonwood Creek Stake.
