The First Presidency has announced the calling of four members to the Primary General Board. They are:
Marilou Dyreng Myers, Edgemont 13th Ward, Provo Utah Edgemont North Stake: homemaker, freelance interior designer; former stake Relief Society and Young Women president, ward Primary and Relief Society president, ward Young Women counselor; president and board member of Utah County Medical Alliance, PTA president and board member, vice president of public relations and board member of Utah Chapter of Freedoms Foundation at Valley Forge, state board member of American Mothers Inc., vice president of Utah Valley Regional Ballet Guild, board member of Utah Valley Symphony Guild; married to Thomas E. Myers.- Diane Nichols, Bountiful 10th Ward, Bountiful Utah North Stake; homemaker; Relief Society president at time of calling to general board; former ward and stake Young Women president; served in various callings in Young Women, Primary and Relief Society; member of PTA boards; married to John W. Nichols.
Charlotte Price, Monument Park 14th Ward, Salt Lake Monument Park Stake; homemaker, physical therapist; former stake Primary board member, Young Women president, Primary counselor; served with husband, Patrick H. Price, in Taiwan Taipei Mission from 1988-1991, served on Children's Writing Committee in Church's Curriculum Department; active in PTA.
Gretel Foxley Swensen, Monument Park 14th Ward, Salt Lake Monument Park Stake; homemaker, former school teacher; calling at time of board assignment was ward and stake Primary music chorister and temple worker; former missionary with husband, Swen R. Swensen, who served as president of Austria Vienna Mission from 1993-1996 (included countries of former Yugoslavia - Croatia, Serbia, Slovenia), also former Young Women teacher and counselor, Primary teacher, chorister, in-service leader and den mother, Relief Society teacher; served on community council and as chairman of PTA, and PTSA president.
Honorably released from the Primary general board were Karen Ashton, Patricia H. Nielsen and Athelia T. Woolley.
