Five new stakes have been created in Brazil, Chile and Peru, and in Arizona and Missouri.
The Cascavel Brazil Stake, which includes the Cascavel 1st, 2nd and 3rd, Foz do Iguacu and Portal do Foz wards, and the Assis Chateaubriand, Coimbra, Medianeira, Palotina, Porto Meira and Toledo branches, has been created by Elder Dallas N. Archibald of the Seventy.The Gilbert Arizona Stake, which includes the Burk Street, Cullumber, Elliot, Freestone Park, Gilbert 2nd and 7th, Horizon, Mesquite, Palo Verde and Windrift wards, has been created by Elder L. Lionel Kendrick of the Seventy.
The Lima Peru Las Violetas Stake, which includes the El Ermitano, Job, Jose Galvez, Las Violetas, Los Pinos, Madre Selva and San Pablo wards, and the Los Andes branch, has been created by Elder Jay E. Jensen of the Seventy.
The St. Robert Missouri Stake, which includes the Houston, Lebanon, Osage Beach, Rolla, St. Robert and West Plains wards, and the Fort Leonard Wood Military and Salem branches, has been created by Elder Earl C. Tingey of the Presidency of the Seventy.
The Santiago Chile Progreso Stake, which includes the El Parque, El Rodeo, El Sendero and Juan Carrera wards, and the El Alba, and Manutara branches, has been created by Elder Jerald L. Taylor of the Seventy.
In addition, a stake in Puerto Rico, the San Juan Puerto Rico Stake, discontinued in 1993 when military personnel were withdrawn, has been reinstated. Another stake in Uruguay, the Paysandu Uruguay Stake, originally created in 1977 but discontinued in 1989, also has been reinstated.
Elsewhere, stakes have been reorganized in Bolivia, Chile and Peru, and in Arizona and Missouri.
