Church members in Georgia are participating in the Georgia Sesquicentennial Pageant, "Goin' To Zion!" this summer.
The musical, complete with 24 original songs, four dance production numbers, and a cast of 150, will be performed during the week of July 24. More than 3,500 people are expected to attend the show, including Atlanta Mayor Bill Campbell.Starting in Georgia in 1844, the storyline of the musical follows the lives of Andrew Jackson Calhoun (played by Charles Causey) and his wife, Rachel (played by Amie Cobb) as they hear the gosepl message and decide to travel to Nauvoo, Ill., to join the Saints there.
