Oklahoma City, Okla.: Hundreds of members converge on Camp Kickapoo for service hours

More than 400 Church members in the Oklahoma City Oklahoma Stake converged upon Camp Kickapoo in south Oklahoma City recently and performed 3,000 service hours doing maintenance and renovation. The project was performed as one of the many activities planned this year in remembrance of the 1847 pioneers.

The stake is also planning a blood drive with the Red Cross July 19-26 in remembrance of the pioneer Saints who "gave of themselves, their sweat, their blood, their tears, their lives," said Larry A. Morgan, stake director of public affairs.During July the American Red Cross in Oklahoma City is traditionally low on blood supplies. In order to meet the demand Church members plan to donate 500 pints of blood.
