The famed streets of Rome, with centuries of history reflected in many magnificent structures, provided a dramatic backdrop for an Italian pioneer wagon train. Members felt to honor the heritage of the Church by creating their own trek that traveled past notable landmarks such as the Plaza Venezia, monument to King Vittorio Emanuele II. Permission to organize parades is seldom granted. Yet, members overcame major obstacles, and in the process, raised awareness of the Church as a growing influence for good in Rome.
