Students, enthusiasts and aficionados of the LDS Pioneer experience will want to secure their copies of the Deseret News 1997-98 Church Almanac, the special Pioneer Sesquicentennial edition. A 79-page section of the almanac is devoted to the 1847 pioneer anniversary and includes such features as pioneer demographics, a wagon diagram, typical clothing, a Mormon Trail map, historical sketches of each of the 1847 companies, and biogprahical sketches of all members of the original company.

The Church almanac is available for $7.95 at the Deseret News office, 30 E.
