Tickets for the two-week open house of the Vernal Utah Temple may be ordered by calling a toll-free number, 1-888-216-5844, according to open house officials.
The temple, the first in the Church to be built from an existing building, will be open to the public Oct. 11-25.Those who live in the Vernal area may call 781-1611. Phone lines will be open on Mondays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Tuesdays through Fridays from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. No charge will be made for the tickets.
The Vernal Utah Temple has been built from the old Uintah Tabernacle, and additional new facilities have been constructed adjacent to it. The temple will be Utah's 10th, the 27th in the United States, and the 51st worldwide.
Following the open house, the temple will be closed and prepared for formal dedicatory services that will be held Nov. 2.
A total of 11 dedicatory services will be held Nov. 2-4 to accommodate the more than 41,000 members in the temple district. The district includes 14 stakes of the Church in northeastern Utah, southwest Wyoming, and western Colorado.
Visitors to the open house are expected from all these and other areas.
