Inspirational music
AUCKLAND, NEW ZEALAND — During a recital of inspirational music held recently by the Auckland New Zealand Mt. Roskill Stake, 650 members experienced a varied program of vocal and instrumental music. The performers ranged from 8 to 90 years of age.
A young single adult choir, directed and accompanied by Alec and Niu Ta'ala, introduced and concluded the evening.
Children were well-represented on the program and delighted the audience with their performances, which included a vocal quintet, a flute quintet and a violin duet.
One of the highlights of the evening was the senior sisters' chorus, which sang "I Have a Testimony." Many of these women helped pioneer the Church in Auckland.
