Visiting members suffering in the aftermath of Hurricane Mitch in Central America Nov. 19-21, President Gordon B. Hinckley brought words of assurance and encouragement. "We will not forget you," he promised members at meetings in Managua, Nicaragua; and San Pedro Sula and Tegucigalpa, Honduras.
While in Central America, he visited missionaries who had donned work clothes to help clean up after the storm and posed for pictures with them. President Hinckley toured devastated areas, including mud-clogged street in San Pedro Sula.Reports of his visit begin on page 3.
