Many nations represented at ceremonies

Ambassadors and other diplomats from a total of 51 countries participated in the lighting ceremonies for the Festival of Lights at the Washington Temple Visitors Center on Dec. 2-3:

First Night

Ambassadors from 15 countries attended:

Antigua and Barbuda, Botswana, Cape Verde, China, Democratic Republic of Congo, Fiji, Honduras, Iceland, Lesotho, Moldova, Mongolia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Sri Lanka, Trinidad and Tobago and Uzbekistan.

Diplomats from 10 other countries attended:

Croatia, Hungary, Israel, Korea, Kyrgyz Republic, Lebanon, Poland, Russia, Slovenia and Thailand.

Second Night

Diplomats from 34 countries attended:

Argentina, Barbados, Belarus, Bulgaria, Cameroon, Denmark, Finland, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Guyana, Hungary, Iceland, India, Indonesia, Israel, Korea, Kyrgyz Republic, Lithuania, Malawi, Mongolia, Netherlands, New Zealand, Peru, Romania, Russia, Senegal, Slovak Republic, Syria, Trinidad and Tobago, Ukraine, United Kingdom, Venezuela and Yugoslavia.
