Melvin R. Robinson, 69, president of the Dominican Republic Missionary Training Center, died Feb. 2, 1998, in Santo Domingo of a heart attack. Pres. Robinson, who was serving with his wife, Ella Mae, began his work as a missionary training center president on Jan. 12. Before his call he had been serving as interim president since October 1997.
Pres. Robinson, from Safford, Ariz., had also served as a missionary in the Dominican Republic, Arizona and Venezuela, and as a district president, temple worker and bishop.
