Some Women's Conference sessions to be telecast

Selected sessions of the 1998 Women's Conference will be telecast May 1-2 over the Church satellite system, according to a letter to general and local priesthood leaders from President Boyd K. Packer, Acting President of the Quorum of the Twelve.

The telecast sessions of Women's Conference, which is sponsored by BYU and Relief Society and which is held April 30-May 1 on the BYU campus, includes the following:- Friday, May 1:

6 p.m., "May Christ Lift Thee Up," by Virginia H. Pearce, former first counselor in the Young Women general presidency.

7 p.m., "Meditating and Mediating: Finding and Offering the Savior's Peace," by Kathy D. Pullins, chair of the Women's Conference Committee and assistant dean of the J. Reuben Clark Law School at BYU.

8 p.m., "Spiritual Anchors," by Elder Marlin K. Jensen of the Seventy and Kathleen B. Jensen, wife of Elder Jensen.

Saturday, May 2:

9 a.m., "This is a Test. This is Only a Test," by Sheri L. Dew, second counselor in the Relief Society general presidency.

10 a.m., "Women Leaders and Priesthood Authority," by Ardeth G. Kapp, institute instructor at the University of Utah and former Young Women general president.

11 a.m., "Relief Society: The Possible Dream," by Mary Ellen W. Smoot, Relief Society general president.

Noon, "I Can Do All Things Through Christ Which Strengtheneth Me," by Virginia U. Jensen, first counselor in the Relief Society general presidency."
