Members of the Leland Ward, Spanish Fork Utah West Stake, sing from the LDS hymbook. When carefully selected to augment talks and lessons, hymns can be a powerful tool in teaching gospel doctrines. In fact, using the hymns in that manner is an important skill that ought to be acquired by Church members, according to a member of the General Church Music Committee.
