The First Presidency has called seven new Missionary Training Center presidents, who will be trained Jan. 10-14, and begin their two-year terms of service immediately following.
The new leaders and their wives are Carlos M. and L. Ann Christensen Bowman, David Robert and Bonnie Rae Carter Broadhead, Geoffrey J. and Lesley Mary Dawson Liddicoat, Conwell Clayton and Maria Torres McCune, Blair D. and Noreen Furness Pincock, Harold W. Jr. and Constance Decker Pratt, and Hugo Nestor and Miryam Edme Pellegrini Salvioli.
Carlos Morales Bowman, 64, Midland 2nd Ward, Midland Michigan Stake; assigned to Peru; is a former president of the Mexico Leon Mission, family history area advisor to the Mexico North Area, stake president's counselor, bishop and high priests group leader. He received bachelor's and doctor's degrees from the University of Utah and was laboratory director and project director for Dow Chemical Co. He was born in Mexico City, Mexico, to Carlos and Maybelle Bowman Morales. He married L. Ann Christensen and they are the parents of seven children.
David Robert Broadhead, 66, St. George 22nd Ward, St. George Utah Stake; assigned to Japan; is a former president of the Japan Nagoya Mission, stake mission president, high councilor, bishop and Scoutmaster. He received a bachelor's degree from BYU and a M.Ed. from the University of Southern California. He is a retired high school principal and former assistant superintendent of the Washington Country School District. He married Bonnie Rae Carter and they are parents of five children.
Geoffrey James Liddicoat, 56, Duncraig Ward, Perth Australia Warwick Stake; assigned to New Zealand; has served as president of the Australia Brisbane Mission, regional representative, stake president, stake mission president, high councilor and bishop. He is a CPA and graduated from Curtin University. He is an accountant, administrator and corporate treasurer for Property Development and Mining Company, and business proprietor. He was born in Perth, Australia, to James Lawrence and Patricia Maria Sweeney Liddicoat. He married Lesley Mary Dawson and they are the parents of six children.
Conwell Clayton McCune, 67, Sunnyside Ward, Portland Oregon Stake; assigned to Chile; has served as president of the Mexico Tampico Mission, stake president's counselor, high councilor and bishop. He is retired after serving as a senior engineer for US. Steel, Gulf Oil, and Westinghouse Electric, and a senior engineering associate for Chevron Oil. He received a bachelor's, master's and doctor's degrees from the University of Utah. He was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to William Welby Jr. and Constance Vivian Clayton McCune. He married Maria Torres and they are the parents of six children.
Blair D. Pincock, 64, Sugar City 6th Ward, Sugar City Idaho Stake; assigned to Argentina; has served as president of the Argentina Resistencia Mission, stake mission president, high councilor and bishop's counselor. He is a professor and former Engineering and Technology Division chairman at Ricks College, and designer and building contractor. He received bachelor's and master's degrees from Utah State University. He was born in Rexburg, Idaho, to Douglas and Reah Dalling Pincock. He married Noreen Furness, and they are parents of three daughters.
Harold Wilcken Pratt Jr., 69, Tahoma Ward, Tacoma Washington South Stake; assigned to Dominican Republic; has served as president of the Texas San Antonio Mission, director of the Mexico City Visitors Center, stake president's counselor, high councilor and bishop. He and his wife served as missionaries in the Orlando Florida Temple. He is a former U.S. Air Force pilot and officer and real estate appraiser, and received bachelor's degrees from BYU and Evergreen State College in Washington, and a master's degree from Eastern Washington University. He was born in Mexico City, Mexico, to Harold W. and Anna Hendrickson Pratt. He married Constance Decker and they are the parents of seven children.
Hugo Nestor Salvioli, 70, Caseros 1st Ward, Buenos Aires Argentina West Stake; assigned to Guatemala; is a former president of the Buenos Aires Argentina Temple, the Argentina Bahia Blanca Mission, regional representative, stake president and bishop's counselor. He received a degree from the Industrial College and is a former lab manager for DuPont of Argentina, and area director for the Church Educational System. He was born in La Plata, Argentina, to Rafael and Mari Falchi Salvioli. He married Miryam Edme Pellegrini and they are the parents of three children.
