In conjunction with April general conference, the general auxiliary organizations will hold training workshops for stake auxiliary leaders. These yearly workshops replace the open houses that previously coincided with each general conference. The latter, which included both stake and ward auxiliary presidencies and priesthood leaders, were discontinued in 2007.
The new 2008 training will focus on how stake auxiliary leaders can help new ward auxiliary leaders learn their duties. Members of stake auxiliary presidencies in Salt Lake City for April general conference are welcome to participate, but should not feel obligated to attend, according to a statement on www.lds.org.
