A new temple president has been called by the First Presidency, with his wife called as matron.
Opurainonarii Halley "Opura" Mo'o, 68, Waimea 2nd Ward, Kona Hawaii Stake, called as president of the Kona Hawaii Temple, succeeding President Earl E. Veloria. President Mo'o's wife, Victoria Mamette Kealohi Mo'o, will serve as temple matron. President Mo'o, a counselor in the Kona Hawaii Temple presidency, has previously served as a bishop, high councilor, bishop's counselor, high priest group leader, and elder's quorum president. A retired maintenance supervisor at BYU-Hawaii, he was born in Hikueru, Tuamotu, French Polynesia, to Poupuaita Viriamu and Tuputeata Titi a Mahana Sue Mo'o.
Sister Mo'o, an assistant to the matron of the Kona Hawaii Temple, has served as a ward Relief Society president, stake and ward Young Women president, stake and ward Primary president, and as a temple ordinance worker. She was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, to John Capistran and Martina Tamara Ahuna Kealohi.
