New mission presidents

Tamara T. and Stephen R. Baker
Seven mission presidents and their wives have been called by the First Presidency to begin their service about July 1. Their mission assignments will be announced later.
Stephen Reed Baker, 58, and Tamara Toolson Baker, four children, Riverton Farms Ward, Riverton Utah Central Stake. Brother Baker serves as a ward mission leader and missionary for the Perpetual Education Fund and is a former counselor in a stake presidency, bishop and counselor, high councilor, ward Young Men president and missionary in the Argentina South Mission. Retired managing director for multinational bank. Born in Whittier, Calif., to John Frederick and Lucille Taylor Baker.
Sister Baker serves as a ward missionary and is a former counselor in a ward Relief Society presidency, and teacher in gospel doctrine, institute, Relief Society and Primary. Born in Brigham City, Utah, to Landell Vern and Wylene Millet Toolson.

Jill P. and Ronald Dale Bliesner
Ronald Dale Bliesner, 60, and Jill Petersen Bliesner, two children, Nibley 5th Ward, Nibley Utah Stake. Brother Bliesner serves as a priest quorum adviser and is a former stake president and counselor, high councilor, bishop and 11-year-old Scout leader. President, Keller-Bliesner Engineering. Born in Twin Falls, Idaho, to Guy Allen and Beulah S. Lee Bliesner.
Sister Bliesner serves as a gospel doctrine teacher and ward organist and is a former counselor in a stake Young Women presidency, ward Relief Society president, ward Primary pianist and ward Young Women adviser. Born in Logan, Utah, to Russell Hawkes and Barbara Elwood Petersen.

Melanie and Jack R. Christianson
Jack R. Christianson, 55, and Melanie Jane Harris Christianson, four children, Northridge 3rd Ward, Orem Utah Northridge Stake. Brother Christianson is a former stake president, bishop, high councilor and missionary in the Arizona Holbrook Mission. Special assistant to the president for Engaged Learning, Utah Valley University. Born in Payson, Utah, to Jack and Anna Murl Pinegar Christianson.
Sister Christianson is a former counselor in a ward Young Women presidency, stake Young Women president, stake Young Women camp director, and ward Relief Society president. Born in Boise, Idaho, to Vernon Lee and Shirley Bingham Harris.

Laurle Z. and Dirk O. Jergensen
Dirk Orme Jergensen, 59, and Laurie Zwick Jergensen, six children, Lake Poway Ward, Poway California Stake. Brother Jergensen serves as a temple ordinance worker and a Church Service Missionary for LDS Social Services and is a former counselor in a stake presidency, bishop, ward Young Men president, gospel doctrine teacher and missionary in the New Mexico-Arizona Mission. Founder/general manager, Omnicare of San Diego. Born in Rexburg, Idaho, to Orme M. and Ludeen Waldram Jergensen.
Sister Jergensen serves as a temple ordinance worker and a Church Service Missionary for LDS Social Services and is a former stake Relief Society president, counselor in stake Young Women and Primary presidencies, ward Young Women president and counselor, ward Primary president, counselor in a ward Relief Society presidency and ward Primary teacher. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to William Evert Zwick Jr. and Audrey McDonough Zwick.

Suzanne Y. and Stephen E. Jones
Stephen Elroy Jones, 49, and Suzanne Young Jones, seven children, San Sevaine Ward, Rancho Cucamonga California Stake. Brother Jones serves as a counselor in the stake presidency and is a former bishop and counselor, ward Young Men president, seminary teacher and missionary in the Spain Barcelona Mission. Vice president and division manager, Young Electric Sign Co. Born in Provo, Utah, to Joseph Elroy and Colleen Keeler Jones.
Sister Jones serves as a ward Primary chorister and is a former ward Young Women and Primary president, counselor in ward Relief Society and Primary presidencies and stake Primary music leader. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Thomas Young Jr. and Dwan Louise Jacobsen Young.

Dennis R. and Magart S. Lifferth
Dennis Ray Lifferth, 66, and Margaret Jeanne Swensen Lifferth, seven children, Ricks Creek Ward, Centerville Utah North Stake. Brother Lifferth serves as a patriarch and is a former stake president, bishop and missionary in the South African Mission. Managing director, Welfare and Humanitarian Services for the Church. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Arthur Ernest and Afton G. Maxfield Lifferth.
Sister Lifferth serves as first counselor in the Primary general presidency and is a former ward Young Women president, ward Relief Society president and counselor, and teacher in all auxiliaries. Born in Washington, D.C., to Albert Donald and Jennie Romney Swensen.

David L. and Loralee F. Wilkey
David Lemar Wilkey, 58, and Loralee Flynn Wilkey, five children, Cedar Hollow 1st Ward, Lehi Utah North Stake. Brother Wilkey serves as a branch president at the Provo Missionary Training Center and is a former stake president, bishop, high councilor, elders quorum and Young Men president and missionary in the New England Mission. Retired executive director, Utah High School Activities Association (UHSAA). Born in Lawton, Okla., to Mack and MorRae Blain Wilkey.
Sister Wilkey serves with her husband at the Provo Missionary Training Center and is a former institute teacher, counselor in a stake Relief Society presidency, ward Relief Society president and counselor, ward Primary president and counselor and ward Young Women adviser. Born in Townsend, Mont., to Frank and Rose Sanz Flynn.
