A three-day advertising campaign by the Church over the Easter weekend will take place on YouTube and Facebook. The purpose of the ad campaign is to help people understand the LDS faith and beliefs. Members of the Church are encouraged to share a new Bible video based on the final days, Atonement , death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Starting Friday April 6 and running through Sunday April 8, short advertisements will be shown on YouTube. It is anticipated that the ads will be viewed a minimum of 15 million times. The ads will link to a specially designed page on mormon.org where visitors can share some personal words about the importance of Jesus Christ in their lives. They can also learn more about LDS beliefs concerning the Savior, download the Bible videos app or order a free Bible (U.S. and Canada only).
Visitors who come to the mormon.org Facebook page at facebook.com/mormon will also be encouraged to share their feelings about Jesus Christ. The Church hopes that thousands of members and nonmembers will express their testimonies of Jesus Christ during the Easter weekend.
Members of the Church are invited to be involved with the campaign in the following ways:
Tell family and friends about the campaign and encourage them to tell their family and friends.
Encourage family and friends to participate on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday by visiting mormon.org/easter or facebook.com/mormon.
Encourage family and friends to look for the YouTube ads and visit mormon.org/easter.
On Friday, Saturday or Sunday Church members are encouraged to visit mormon.org/easter and share their feelings about Jesus Christ.
Members of the Church who are seeking ways to proclaim the gospel will find this campaign to be a unique opportunity to engage in conversations with those not of the LDS faith.
