Youth worldwide are invited to participate in the Church’s next live Face to Face event with special guests Elder Ronald A. Rasband of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, Sister Bonnie L. Oscarson, Young Women general president, and Brother Stephen W. Owen, Young Men general president, on Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2016, at 7 p.m. MST.

This Face to Face event will launch the annual Mutual theme for 2016: “Press Forward with Steadfastness in Christ.” Elder Rasband, Sister Oscarson and Brother Owen will answer questions from the youth and share their testimonies of the Savior.

Elder Rasband is looking forward to the Face to Face event. “I love the youth of the Church, and any opportunity to interact with them is precious to me," he said.

Sister Oscarson said she, too, is excited to interact with the youth of the Church. “I can’t wait for the opportunity to hear what is on your minds, to have you share your testimonies with us and to learn together,” she said in a message to the youth.

Technology has enabled the youth of the Church to interact in an unprecedented way. “Heavenly Father has inspired wonderful tools to help dissolve the geographical boundaries of our world,” Brother Owen said. “Our Face to Face events give youth the opportunity to gather together electronically, share gospel truths, feel the Spirit of the Lord, and strengthen each other in ways never before experienced in the history of the world.”

Youth and youth leaders are encouraged to consider the Mutual theme and come to the event prepared to discuss what it means to them personally to press forward with steadfastness in Christ and what things in their lives make pressing forward a challenge.

Elder Rasband said the 2016 theme is “a timely message considering the challenges that our youth so bravely face in today’s world.”

To join the interactive event, watch the live stream on LDS.org or MormonChannel.org. The event will be live in 11 languages.

Youth can participate using #LDSface2face on Twitter and Facebook to submit questions before and during the event and to follow the conversation throughout the evening.

The January 2016 Face to Face is the fifth such event sponsored by the Church. Face to Face events feature special LDS guests answering questions sent in by youth and are viewed by tens of thousands worldwide during and after the broadcasts. Previous guests have included David Archuletta, Lindsey Stirling, Elder David A. Bednar of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles and his wife, Sister Susan Bednar, and the Piano Guys.

A recording of the broadcast will be archived for later viewing along with all previous Face to Face events on face2face.lds.org.
