New mission presidents

Eight new mission presidents and their wives have been called by the First Presidency. They will begin their service in July.

Glenn Paulo Bangerter, 54, and JaLayne Garlick Bangerter, seven children, American Fork 14th Ward, American Fork Utah East Stake: Brazil Salvador South Mission, succeeding President Marcelo Andrezzo and Sister Solange A. Andrezzo. Brother Bangerter serves as a ward employment specialist and is a former bishop, ward Young Men president, elders quorum president, Scoutmaster and missionary in the Portugal Lisbon Mission. Vice president, DoTerra International. Born in Sao Paulo, Brazil, to William Grant Bangerter and Geraldine Hamblin Bangerter.

Sister Bangerter serves as a stake Young Women presidency counselor and is a former stake Primary president, gospel doctrine teacher and ward Primary music leader. Born in Provo, Utah, to G. Jay Garlick and Elaine Hicken Garlick.

Bruce W Chesnut, 59, and Tamara Brown Chesnut, four children, Timpanogos 2nd Ward, Pleasant Grove Utah Timpanogos Stake: Nevada Reno Mission, succeeding President David N. Hermansen and Sister Cheryl Hermansen. Brother Chesnut is a former stake presidency counselor, bishop, high councilor, stake and ward Young Men president, elders quorum president and missionary in the Arizona Tempe Mission. Retired Orem City manager. Born in American Fork, Utah, to James Clyde Chesnut and Jeanelle Walker Chesnut.

Sister Chesnut is a former stake Primary presidency counselor, ward Young Women president, ward Relief Society and Primary presidency counselor and Relief Society teacher. Born in Logan, Utah, to Roger Blain Brown and Gloria Savage Brown.

Jack Browning Egginton, 61, and Melinda Dawn Ellis Egginton, three children, Peacefield Ward, Layton Utah Valley View Stake: México Guadalajara East Mission, succeeding President Luis F. Camarillo Hernández and Sister Leticia Estudillo de Camarillo. Brother Egginton serves as a high priests group leader assistant and is a former stake presidency counselor, high councilor, bishopric counselor, ward Young Men president, gospel doctrine teacher and missionary in the Uruguay-Paraguay Mission. Retired major general, United States Air Force. Born in Spokane, Washington, to Jack Hardy Egginton and Joyce Louise Browning Egginton.

Sister Egginton is a former stake Young Women presidency counselor, ward Relief Society president and gospel doctrine teacher. Born in Los Angeles to Donald Merrell Ellis and Maxine Evelyn Cragin Ellis.

Randy Holt Hayes, 58, and Laura Hirschi Hayes, nine children, Hibbard 5th Ward, Rexburg Idaho North Stake: Costa Rica San José East Mission, succeeding President Chad R. Wilkinson and Sister Allison M. Wilkinson. Brother Hayes serves as a stake presidency counselor and is a former bishop and missionary in the Peru Lima Mission. Religion professor, BYU–Idaho. Born in Bountiful, Utah, to Lloyd Nelson Hayes and Jesse Dawna Holt Hayes.

Sister Hayes serves as a gospel doctrine teacher and is a former stake Young Women camp director, ward Relief Society president and ward Young Women adviser. Born in Montpelier, Idaho, to Frank William Hirschi and Carol Price Hirschi.

Dennis Roland James, 64, and Kay Janette Thornton James, seven children, Bountiful 50th Ward, Bountiful Utah Heights Stake: North Carolina Raleigh Mission, succeeding President Marc A. Bernhisel and Sister Julee Bernhisel. Brother James serves as a Church-service missionary and is a former bishop, high councilor, stake Young Men president, elders quorum president and missionary in the Netherlands Mission. Attorney and partner, Morgan, Minnock, Rice & James. Born in Twin Falls, Idaho, to Wayne William James and Ruth Bowen James.

Sister James serves as a Church-service missionary and is a former ward Primary and Young Women president and ward Relief Society presidency counselor. Born in Pocatello, Idaho, to Miral Walker Thornton and Bette Dorene Holt Thornton.

Stephen Paul Miles, 59, and Lori Dee Miller Miles, four children, Bell Canyon Ward, Sandy Utah Granite View Stake: Canada Calgary Mission, succeeding President Howard J Nicholas and Sister Kathleen Nicholas. Brother Miles serves as a Church-service missionary and is a former stake president, stake presidency counselor, bishop, stake missionary and missionary in the Arizona Tempe Mission. Owner and partner, Western States Lodging. Born in Richfield, Utah, to Lorin Church Miles Jr. and LaRae Haight Miles.

Sister Miles is a Church-service missionary and Sunday School teacher and is a former stake Relief Society presidency counselor, ward Young Women adviser, youth conference co-chairman and stake missionary. Born in Salt Lake City to Marvin Chipman Miller and Nancy Dee Cowley Miller.

James Ray Pratt, 56, and Debra Susan Moss Pratt, four children, Winter Park Ward, Orlando Florida Stake: Canada Halifax Mission, succeeding President Brian D. Leavitt and Sister Brenda E. Leavitt. Brother Pratt serves as a mission presidency counselor and is a former stake president, bishop, ward Young Men adviser and missionary in the Belgium Brussels Mission. Attorney, Burr & Forman LLP (Orlando managing partner). Born in Provo, Utah, to William Jerald Pratt and Nila Ruth Tingey Pratt.

Sister Pratt is a former stake Relief Society presidency counselor, stake Young Women secretary, ward Relief Society president, ward Primary presidency counselor and public affairs specialist. Born in Salt Lake City to Calvin J. Moss and Carol Clough Moss.

Jim Lorenzo Wright, 57, and Christina Brunsdale Wright, 10 children, Mesa 20th Ward, Mesa Arizona Maricopa North Stake: California Santa Rosa Mission, succeeding President René R. Alba and Sister Kathleen Alba. Brother Wright serves as an Area Seventy and is a former stake president, bishop, high councilor, stake Young Men president, ward missionary and missionary in the Argentina Rosario Mission. Sister Wright serves as a ward missionary and is a former stake Relief Society president, institute teacher, ward music chairman, ward Relief Society teacher and nursery leader. Born in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, to Kenneth Almo Brunsdale and Shirley Ann Matheny Brunsdale.
