Montreal temple open house, rededication dates announced

The First Presidency has announced the open house, cultural celebration and rededication dates for the Montreal Quebec Temple. The temple has been closed since June 2, 2014, for interior and exterior renovation work.

The free public open house for the temple will begin on Thursday, Nov. 5, and go through Saturday, Nov. 14, 2015, except for Sunday, Nov. 8. A cultural celebration will be held Saturday, Nov. 21, and the temple will be rededicated Sunday, Nov. 22, in three sessions.

The temple was originally dedicated on June 4, 2000, by President Gordon B. Hinckley, then president of the Church.

The temple serves Latter-day Saints in Quebec and Ontario Canada, and Vermont, U.S.A.
