After being closed for renovation since November 2017, the Asuncion Paraguay Temple will have an open house Oct. 12 and 14-19. The rededication will take place in one session on Sunday, Nov. 3, at 10 a.m. The temple will reopen for patrons on Tuesday, Nov. 12, and will serve Latter-day Saints in Paraguay and parts of Argentina.

The temple was originally dedicated by President Gordon B. Hinckley in May 2002.

Arequipa Peru Temple

The Arequipa Peru Temple, announced by President Thomas S. Monson in October 2012, will be the third temple in that country. The groundbreaking ceremony was held in March 2017.

The open house runs from Friday, Nov. 15, through Saturday, Nov. 30, except for Sundays.

A youth devotional will be held Saturday, Dec. 14, and the dedication of the temple will be the next day Sunday, Dec. 15, in three sessions, 9 a.m., 12 p.m. and 3 p.m. The dedicatory sessions and youth devotional will be broadcast to all Church congregations in the temple district. Additional details regarding the temple dedication will be announced later.

The temple will open for patrons on Dec. 19.

The groundbreaking for the Lima Peru Los Olivos Temple, the country’s fourth temple, will take place on June 8.
