Interior photos of the newly remodeled Raleigh North Carolina Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints were released to the public on Sept. 19.
According to Newsroom, adjustments made during the remodel include enclosing the portico and the extension of the tower’s steeple, which is now 10 feet taller. There is new blue, gold and cream art glass featuring the dogwood tree blossom, the state flower, in the baptistry and other rooms.
An open house for the public will be held from Saturday, Sept. 21 to Saturday, Sept. 28, except for Sunday, and the temple will be formally dedicated on Sunday, Oct. 13, in one session.
The Raleigh North Carolina was originally dedicated on Dec. 18, 1999, and remains the only temple in the state. Today, there are more than 88,000 members of the Church in North Carolina, comprising 17 stakes and 170 congregations.
