Nearly half of Church members in the U.S. live in 3 states. Where do the rest live?


Utah is home to just less than one-third of the Latter-day Saints who live in the United States. California has the second-largest share of American members of the Church, with about one-ninth of the total.

The chart shows the percentage of American Latter-day Saints who live in each state that has 1% or more of the Church’s membership in the United States. Other states are grouped by region.
