Question of the week

What was the Relief Society's "Sudnay Egg Fund?"

Starting in the 1870s and for decades after, Relief Societies raised money by calling for Sunday eggs. All eggs laid on Sunday were donated to the Relief Society, and later sold or exchanged at the town store. Proceeds were used to build meeting halls and to care for the poor.
