Church donates milk, storage space

The Church is sharing warehouse space in Salt Lake City for food collected in the "Scouting for Food" drive, and also is contributing several thousand pounds of dried milk to the effort in Utah, according to Isaac Ferguson, Church executive secretary of humanitarian services.

"Storehouses of government dried milk are depleted," explained Ferguson, "and we indicated to the Scouting for Food people that the Church would supplement from the storehouse system a generous supply of dried milk to complement the other donations that came in."As boxes of food for local communities are put together over the next couple of months, the milk will be added.

"The Church is making similar contributions around the country on an ongoing basis," Ferguson noted. "The generous donations of members are making this possible."
