New stake presidencies

A new stake has been created in Los Mochis, Mexico. Elder Robert E. Wells of the First Quorum of the Seventy and president of the Mexico/Central America Area presided at the division of the Los Mochis Mexico Stake, from which the new stake was created. The new stake has a membership of 3,600, and includes the Anahuac, Jardines, Libertad and Del Valle wards and the Ahome, Chihuahuita and Topolobampo branches.

KEARNS UTAH SOUTH STAKE: (Feb. 12, 1989) President - Clark Hall Thornock, 39, computer company program manager, succeeding David "B" Madsen; former stake president's counselor, high councilor, ward elders quorum president and Sunday School president's counselor, married Diane Ogden. Counselors - Bruce Richard Clark, 38, director of support services for health care service, former high councilor, bishop and counselor, and elders quorum president's counselor, married Glenys Lynn Randall; David B. Thompson Jr., 36, building materials company accountant, former high councilor, bishop and counselor, and executive secretary, married Mary Lee Christofferson.
