Testimony came at feet of parents

Many strengthening experiences have occurred in the five years that Elder F. Arthur Kay served as a General Authority. These experiences, he said, "taught me that God does hear and answer prayers, and that . . . great things happen in the lives of people."

Elder Kay, released Saturday afternoon from the Second Quorum of the Seventy, offered his impromptu remarks in the Sunday afternoon session, sharing feelings about his testimony. "My testimony came when I was a little boy at the feet of my parents," he said. "I was taught the story of the Restoration, and I believed it with all my heart, because I believed my parents."To me the teachings of the First Vision, the visit of Moroni and others, were as real and as personal as experiences of my own. I've never had a day in my life when I haven't known these things are true. My greatest desire is to continue faithfully."
