New summer hours to accommodate increase in visitors on Temple Square are now in effect. Until Labor Day, Sept. 3, Temple Square will be opened from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.
Complimentary tours begin every 10 minutes. A 30-minute organ recital is performed in the Tabernacle at noon and 4 p.m., Mondays through Fridays and at 4 p.m., Saturdays and Sundays.More than 1 million visitors have come to the Square since January, said public relations director Delbert Warner. That number is an 8 percent increase over last year's figure.
"We should have about 2 million visitors this summer," Warner calculated.
