BYU professor receives honor

David B. Magleby, a professor of political science at BYU, has been named the 1990 Utah Professor of the Year by the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) and the Carnegie Foundation.

Professors of the year were named in 44 states, the District of Columbia and Canada, in addition to the national winner, JW Carmichael, Jr., a professor of chemistry at Xavier University of Louisiana.CASE chose the winners from 537 professors nominated by colleges and universities throughout the United States and Canada.
