BYU raises tuition

Tuition for Brigham Young University students will increase next year to reflect the cost of living index, BYU officials have announced.

Undergraduate student tuition for the 1991-92 school year will be $1,000 per semester, $1,170 for advance-standing students per semester and $1,890 for Law School and Graduate School of Management students.Dee F. Andersen, administrative vice president, said the new rates, approved by the BYU Board of Trustees, represent a 5.3 percent increase for undergraduates, 5.4 percent for advance-standing students and 5.6 percent for Law School and Graduate School of Management students.

Andersen noted that the "Money Guide" to America's best college buys recently listed BYU as number four among private colleges for value in education.
