New stake presidencies

Two new stakes have been created, one in Arizona and one in France.

The Chinle Arizona Stake was created by Elder Dean L. Larsen of the Seventy. It includes the Kayenta, Tuba City and Window Rock wards, and the Cameron, Chinle, Crystal, Ganado, Pinon, Polacca, Round Rock, Sawmill, and Steamboat branches.Elder L. Tom Perry of the Council of the Twelve created the Lyon France Stake, which includes the Dijon, Grenoble, Lyon I, and Lyon II wards, and the Chalon Sur Saonne, Chambery, Clermont-Ferrand, St. Etienne, and Valence branches.

Elsewhere, stakes have been reorganized in Chile, Honduras, Idaho, Ohio, Oklahoma, Peru, Utah and Washington.

LOGAN UTAH UNIVERSITY THIRD STAKE: (Sept. 23, 1990) President - Wayne B. May, 52, institute director, succeeding Paul Weldon Herd; former stake president's counselor, high councilor, bishop, and high priests group leader, married Diane Roundy. Counselors - Gordon Lee Robbins, 47, insurance agent, former high councilor, bishop, ward clerk, and Young Men president, married Diane Peirce; David Bruce Allen, 47, insurance agent, former stake executive secretary, bishop, Young Men president, and high priests group leader, married Judy Anderson.
