George Z. Aposhian, 90, who served as president of the Central Atlantic States Mission from 1959-63, died Feb. 7, 1995, in Salt Lake City. A native of Turkey, he immigrated to Utah at age 5 with his family, and later operated a car garage. He was the first bishop of the Kenwood Ward, now in the Salt Lake Wilford Stake, and later the first president of the Salt Lake Wilford Stake. He was a sealer in the Salt Lake Temple at the time of his death.
