New mission presidents

Four more mission presidents have been called by the First Presidency. The mission presidents and their wives will begin their service about July 1. The new mission presidents and where they will serve are:

Edison M. Cabrito, 40, Philippines Naga Mission; Burnham Ward, Baguio Philippines Stake; regional representative; former stake president, stake physical facilities representative, bishop, and Sunday School president's counselor; associate professor at Saint Louis University, Baguio City; received bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Saint Louis University and in sanitary engineering from the University of Baguio; born in Santa Cruz, Philippines, to Victorio de Leon and Aurea Metra Cabrito; married Florciele Puzon, three children. She is Relief Society president; former Young Women president, Primary president, visiting teaching board member, and Relief Society teacher; received bachelor's degree in biology from Saint Louis University; born in Baguio City, Philippines, to Hermenegildo S. and Juliana Alcantara Dumaguing Puzon.Michael L. Jensen, 43, Germany Frankfurt Mission; Scripps Ranch Ward, Penasquitos California Stake; regional representative; former stake president, high councilor, stake Young Men president, stake missionary, bishop, elders quorum president, Young Men president, and missionary in the Germany Munich Mission; attorney; received bachelor's degree in urban affairs from Princeton University and law degree from BYU; born in Sacramento, Calif., to Charles LeRoy and Oleah Mower Jensen; married Jean Simmons, six children. She is stake Relief Society president's counselor; former stake cultural arts specialist, Relief Society president and counselor, Relief Society teacher, Sunday School teacher, and Cub Scout leader; received associate degree from Ricks College, and bachelor's degree in literature and master's degree in American literature from BYU; born in Burley, Idaho, to Francis Marion and Kathryn Burton Simmons.

Theron D. Rose, 54, Peru Lima North Mission; Hunter 12th Ward, Salt Lake Hunter West Stake; stake president; former high councilor, stake Sunday School president's counselor, bishop and counselor, high priests group leader, elders quorum president, and Sunday School president; principal in Church Educational System; received bachelor's degree in education from Southern Utah University and master's degree in instructional psychology from BYU; born in Panguitch, Utah, to David Quilter and Delpha Almira Johnson Rose; married Marilyn Plummer, four children. She is inservice coordinator; former stake Primary inservice leader, stake Primary music director, Relief Society president and teacher, nursery leader, and Relief Society and Primary music director; received bachelor's degree in elementary education from Southern Utah University; born in Rexburg, Idaho, to Joseph Harry and Geneve Taylor Plummer.

Gordon T. Watts, 60, Philippines Quezon City Mission; Grapevine Ward, Lewisville Texas Stake; regional representative; former stake president and counselor, high councilor, bishop, and missionary in Hawaii; automobile regional sales manager; received associate degree from Weber State University and bachelor's degree in business/education from Utah State University; born in South Weber, Utah, to Elwood Taylor and Edna Davis Watts; married Connie Welling, four children. She is a visiting teaching coordinator; former stake Primary chorister, Relief Society president and pianist, Primary president and chorister, and music chairman; attended Utah State University; born in Fielding, Utah, to Wendell Holmes and Elsie Margaret Godfrey Welling.
