"Love is Spoken Here," a Primary song about love, obedience, prayer and family, was written by Janice Kapp Perry for an Ensign song writing contest in 1980. Since then the song has become a favorite because of the interesting melody construction, the meaningful text and the beautiful harmonies. It is frequently performed by children's choirs. Sister Perry said she wrote the song about two things she loved in her family - hearing her mother pray daily and seeing her father give strong priesthood leadership in their home.
