More than 5,000 people attended the dedicatory sessions of the Hong Kong Temple, the fifth LDS temple in Asia. President Gordon B. Hinckley dedicated the imposing edifice, a fitting culmination of his long years of supervising the Church in this area.
Members braved rainy weather and waited in line to attend one of seven sessions May 26-27. Included in the rites was a cornerstone ceremony, in which President Hinckley and President Thomas S. Monson, first counselor in the First Presidency, and others participated. The stories begin on page 3.
