If possible, each young woman between 12 and 18 should take part in a Young Woman camp experience. Camping can be an excellent way to develop youth leadership, to teach self-reliance and outdoor skills, and to help each young woman apply gospel principles. It also provides Young Women presidencies and advisers opportunities to develop caring relationships with young women. Camp may be held any time of the year, depending on the area, climate, and type of camping desired.
