The true spirit of Christmas was felt in our home this December after a five-inch snowfall. At Church the day before, our bishop, Carl Gile, had urged us to share the spirit of Christmas by reaching out to others.
About 11 a.m. the next day we became aware that someone was shoveling the snow from our patio. As I looked to see who it was, I realized it was Bishop Gile and his wife, Cathy. They had shoveled sidewalks in front and clear around the house. Later, I learned from a neighbor that they had shoveled all their sidewalks, too, and even their driveway. At a time of year when we celebrate the birth of our Savior, we are especially grateful to have seen His teachings put into actions.
