Milestones of togetherness

Married 70 years ago on Sept. 6, 1928, in the St. George Temple and lived in Utah and California where he operated bakeries and worked as a landscape gardener. She taught school for 28 years and enjoyed writing poetry and painting in oils. They held Church meetings in their home in various small towns where they lived, and filled multiple callings through the years. They served as supervisors in the Los Angeles Temple for 10 years. Members of the St. George 2nd Ward. Parents of five children, they have eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Married 70 years ago on Sept. 22, 1928, in Montebello, Calif., and later sealed in the Arizona Temple. They lived in the Phoenix, Ariz., area for many years where he was general manager of Hopper Truck Lines. They moved to Camp Verde, Ariz., where he was branch president and she was Relief Society president. Both have held many callings in the Church. She has made many quilts, and enjoys growing flowers. Members of the Cedaredge Ward, Montrose Colorado Stake. Parents of four children, they have 18 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
